Clear information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the NZ Privacy Act 2020.
This Privacy Policy describes how Lightworker Mark ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit or interact with www.lightworkermark.co.nz (the "Site").
1 Personal Information We Collect
When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to provide our services.
Device Information
- Examples of Personal Information collected: version of web browser, IP address, time zone, cookie information, what sites or products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site.
- Purpose of collection: to load the Site accurately for you, and to perform analytics on Site usage to optimize our Site.
- Source of collection: Collected automatically when you access our Site using cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, or pixels.
- Analytics tools: We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the Site — pages viewed, buttons clicked, and (in Clarity) anonymised heatmaps and session recordings. Both set cookies and may process data outside New Zealand. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser; the Site works fully without them.

- Purpose of collection: to provide services to you, to process your payment information, arrange for session bookings, provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, and communicate with you.
- Source of collection: collected directly from you via our contact and sign-up forms.
2 Sharing Personal Information
We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you. For example, submissions from our contact, newsletter and review forms are stored in Google Sheets; session bookings are managed through Google Calendar; package and gift voucher payments are processed by Stripe, which handles your card details directly; and we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the Site is used. We may also share information to comply with NZ laws or protect our rights.
Information stored overseas: Google, Microsoft, Stripe and our website host store information on servers outside New Zealand, including in the United States. They hold it on our behalf, only to provide their services to us, and we remain responsible for it under the Privacy Act 2020. We only use established providers with their own security and privacy safeguards, and we never sell your information.
3 Your Rights

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.

You have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to port it to a new service, and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or erased.
4. Newsletter & Unsubscribing
If you join the newsletter (through the sign-up form, the free reading, or by asking me), I email you roughly once a week with reflections, practices and occasional offers. I only use your name and email address for this, and I never sell or share your details.
Newsletters include a tiny invisible image, and their links pass through this website first. Together these tell me whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. I use this only to keep the list to people who want it: if you haven't opened or clicked anything for about two months, I'll send one friendly email asking whether you'd like to stay on, and take you off the list if I don't hear back. Most email apps let you block images if you'd rather not be counted.
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also reply with the word "unsubscribe" or email mark@lightworkermark.co.nz. You will be removed promptly, and always within 5 working days, as the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 requires. Emails about sessions or packages you have booked are not marketing and will still be sent.
5. Keeping Your Information Safe
Your information is kept in password-protected accounts, and only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as long as the law requires (for example, payment records are kept for seven years for tax purposes).
If a privacy breach ever happens that has caused, or is likely to cause, serious harm, we will notify the Privacy Commissioner and the people affected as soon as practicable, as required by Part 6 of the Privacy Act 2020.
